We Were Walking

Wow - We just looked at the last post date and realized we have been very delinquent in our updates. We blame in on the preparation for Emily's imminent departure back to the good old U,S of A to have summer with her Daddy. She is very much looking forward (and who wouldn't be) to hanging with Daddy as they visit her cousin's in Kansas City, explore the Rocky Mountains of Colrado, traipse through Yellowstone National Park and then chill for a week in the Adirondacks. She is also thrilled to be starting and ending her trip with a two weeks at Nanny's house where she will be sufficiently pampered and spoiled. We will miss her terribly but she won't miss us - which is a good thing :-)

In the mean time Mark and Lisa have embarked on some new health habits they hope to continue throughout the summer. A long walk around the "block" followed by swimming laps EVERY morning - either in the ocean if it calm enough or in the pool. The swimming laps part is Lisa's favourite as she is usually soaked through when they finally get back to the house. It's hot here! Lisa is a regular reader of Tammi's blog who walks her morning walk through the Canadian prairie. Tammi has been posting regular photo tours of her surroundings which inspired us to post photos of our morning walk - if only so Tammi could see how different the view is from here.

OH.MY.GOODNESS. I believed before that you lived in paradise, but now I KNOW it. And now that I've seen it, I can't pretend that I didn't. Or that I'm not INSANELY JEALOUS!!! Putting in a nice long walk and then doing a couple of laps in the ocean or pool to rinse off the "glow" sounds absolutely heavenly. Wow. So what's the asking price on the house that's for sale....?

That is an amazing walk and to have the ocean so handy to jump in at the end - heaven!

Now let me get this straight....you need to make that a habit? Girl, I'd be running out the door every morning!
